Lahore School of Economics - Executive Education Program

The Lahore School of Economics, which recently launched Executive Education Programs for both the private and public sectors in Pakistan, delivered another successful two-day program for the senior management of Beaconhouse on March 31-April 1, 2014.
The "Excellence in Marketing" program for Beaconhouse, focused on Creating Value, Communicating Value, Pricing and Forecasting of Demand. The cases and discussions included survey methodology, perceptual mapping, demand forecasting, segmenting, targeting and positioning and branding. The participants had to design and cost products and work on the problem of cannibalization of one brand by another. In another session, they did exercises on calculating the optimal prices in services industries, working with actual data.
The second day was reserved for company-specific projects. Managers of Beaconhouse, one of the largest education providers in Pakistan (and also one of the largest providers of bright students to Lahore School), applied the concepts, tools and techniques learnt over one and a half days to their newest project. They worked on creation of value and then on its communication to specific audiences, creating an advertisement copy for their newest project. The case method allowed participants to bring into play their own vast experiences, with the instructor acting as a "facilitator."
The Lahore School offers Executive Education in Sales Management, Marketing Management, Brand Management, Change Management, Personnel Management, Conflict Management, Team Building and Finance Management. It is now preparing to deliver Management Development Programs, (MDPs) offering a very high value for interested companies. The School remains committed to promoting excellence in economics and management education.
