Ms. Fatima Asad, Executive Director at Abacus Consulting visited The Lahore School on March 11, 2014, as a guest speaker to give a talk to the graduating BBA Hons students. The purpose of the talk was to give students tips on grooming, interview skills and resume writing.
Ms. Asad asked all students to have an objective in life. One should know ones strengths and weaknesses along with skills that could be used as ones unique selling point. She said that relationships are a direct reflection of their success in future life. Social skills along with academic skills are equally important to be employable.
A good know how of the organization, market knowledge and the position a candidate is applying for are necessary to be aware of before appearing for an interview. The resume should be supported with examples and experiences, and the candidate should always connect with the interviewer. While giving an interview the answers should always be realistic and honest.
