Independence Day Celebrations - 2017

Lahore School of Economics celebrated 70th Independence Day of Pakistan with national zeal and fervor. The lush green campus was decorated with huge size national flags, thematic balloons and colorful buntings.

Dr Azam Chaudhry, Dean of Lahore School of Economics, who was the chief guest, hoisted the national flag while the faculty, staff and large number of guests recited the national anthem.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr Azam Chaudhry said, “We begin the Independence Day by recognizing the sacrifices of earlier generation of Pakistanis who have given so much for the creation of Pakistan as well as those who have worked to build and defend this country. We and the entire country can never repay the debt we owe these proud men and women but we must work to build this country in their honor.” Dr Azam Chaudry also threw light on the role of Lahore School of Economics in nation building and explained how the Lahore School fits into national strategy.
