Australian High Commissioner to Pakistan Visits Lahore School of Economics

On June 4, 2026, Lahore School of Economics welcomed the Australian High Commissioner to Pakistan, His Excellency Mr. Timothy Kane, accompanied by Mr. Azhar Shah, Director Trade and Education at Austrade; Mr. Jaeger Konidaris, Political Secretary (Economic); Mr. Fahad Naveed and Ms. Rumla Tahir, Official’s from Macquarie University.
During their visit, the delegation met with Dr. Shahid Amjad Chaudhry, Rector, Lahore School of Economics; Dr. Azam Chaudhry, Pro-Rector and Dean, Faculty of Economics; and Dr. Sohail Zafar, Dean, Faculty of Business Administration. The delegation also interacted with students participating in Macquarie University’s Study Tour and Study Abroad programs.
Discussions focused on strengthening academic collaboration, student mobility, and research partnerships, reflecting the strong and growing relationship between Lahore School of Economics and Macquarie University.

Step-Up, Stand-Out: Mastering Personal Branding and Networking for Professional Success

On 23 September 2024, Prof. Dr. Rahat Munir, Head of Accounting & Corporate Governance at Macquarie University, Australia, visited the Lahore School of Economics. During his visit, he delivered an insightful lecture titled “Step-Up, Stand-Out: Mastering Personal Branding and Networking for Professional Success” to our MBA students. Additionally, Prof. Rahat signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Lahore School, aimed at fostering academic and cultural exchanges. This partnership is designed to enhance collaboration in teaching, research, and student programs.

Study Tour to Macquarie University
September 05, 2015
Lahore School of Economics arranged a four weeks study tour to Macquarie University, Australia in the month of August. Eight students (Beenish Amir, Hamzah Imran, Hira Waheed, Kiran Aftab, MehreenIzhar, Muhammad Ali Imran, Rida Nadeem and Shahrukh Khurram) enrolled in the third year of their bachelors program along with Ms Ayesha Khaled (Assistant Manager External Relations) visited Macquarie University from the August 1 to August 29, 2015.
During these four weeks, the students attended various lectures in the Business and Economics departments and interacted with professionals of the field. They also got a chance to visit the Royal Bank of Australia and HLB Mann Judd Business and Financial Advisers.
