Lahore School and Gallup Pakistan Forge Strategic Research Partnership

On 1 July 2025, the Lahore School of Economics formalized a partnership with Gallup Pakistan, a leading research and survey organization, through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). The signing ceremony, held at the Lahore School, signifies a pivotal collaboration aimed at bridging academia and applied research.


The MoU outlines joint efforts to tackle pressing socio-economic challenges by leveraging the Lahore School’s academic expertise and Gallup Pakistan’s proficiency in data collection, analysis, and public opinion research. This partnership will foster innovative research initiatives with real-world impact.

Step-Up, Stand-Out: Mastering Personal Branding and Networking for Professional Success


On 23 September 2024, Prof. Dr. Rahat Munir, Head of Accounting & Corporate Governance at Macquarie University, Australia, visited the Lahore School of Economics. During his visit, he delivered an insightful lecture titled “Step-Up, Stand-Out: Mastering Personal Branding and Networking for Professional Success” to our MBA students. Additionally, Prof. Rahat signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Lahore School, aimed at fostering academic and cultural exchanges. This partnership is designed to enhance collaboration in teaching, research, and student programs.

Digital Marketing Workshops

Three-Session Workshop on Performance/Digital Marketing at the Lahore School of Economics - University of Colombo Summer Camp 2024 by Mr. Asim Malik

Mr. Asim Malik conducted a 3-Session Workshop on Performance and Digital Marketing from 29-31 May 2024 at the Lahore School of Economics - University of Colombo Summer Camp 2024. During the 3 sessions he elaborated on Performance Marketing, whether Digital Advertising was ATL or BTL, advantages of digital marketing, the Digital landscape of Pakistan, Brand Safety, abuse of social media, digital marketing strategies, definitions and operationalizations of key digital marketing metrics and KPIs, a ‘view’, MAU and DAU, recommended exposures, cohort overlaps, publishers and tracking displays of content, assets and the use of Keywords, types of audiences, and finally Attribution models and customer journeys. (All the abbreviations are explained below).


Asim noted at the beginning that Performance Marketing was based on conversion campaigns designed to drive sales and revenue. This was located within the Digital landscape which has changed in part and largely due to the ubiquitous presence and usage of the smart phone, as illustrated by the term ‘Nomophobia’ (anxiety and fear of being detached from mobile phone connectivity). In fact, our world is now moving forward to ‘Digital First Approach’.

Industry Academia linkages - MOU

The Lahore School of Economics and Abacus signed an MoU on 6 February 2020 as a part of Industry - Academia linkages. Dr. Shahid Amjad Chaudhry, Rector Lahore School and Fatima Said, Managing Director Abacus signed the MOU. Deans, faculty and staff members attended the ceremony.

Industry-Academia Linkages – MOU

Lahore School of Economics signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Coca Cola Beverages Pakistan Limited {CCI Pakistan} on Thursday, November 29, 2018 at Barki Campus as a part of Industry Academia linkages.


Strong linkage between Corporate and Academia is a critical tool to tackle the key economic challenges of Pakistan. The research and innovation done at the Lahore School should attract huge demand from industry. Also the research, innovation, operations and management practices of Coca Cola will be a source of great learning to the faculty and students of the Lahore School of Economics. This should lead to increased, diversified economic activities and market development for all the parties involved.

Memorandum of Understanding with University of Colombo


The Lahore School of Economics and University of Colombo, Srilanka are in a cooperative academic relationship since last five years in the areas of Faculty Exchange, Research and Student Exchange. Ms. Sehrish Ehtisham, Manager Financial Assistance and External Relations, Lahore School of Economics visited University of Colombo to renew the MOU. The signing ceremony was held on 7 August 2015. Prof. Lilitha Mendis, Prof. Lakhsman Dissanayake (Vice-Chancellor), Dr. Sirimal Abeyratne (Professor in Economics) and Prof. Rev. W. Wimalaratne (Head of Economics Dept) were present.

Lahore School and LCCI accord

Strengthening industry-academia linkage, Lahore School of Economics (Lahore School) and Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) inked a Memorandum of Understanding that would pave way for joint research and seminars on economic issues.


The accord aims at capacity building programmes through training and empowerment by a mutual collaboration between business community and educational institutions.

Lahore School of Economics, Lahore Pakistan and Bahcesehir University, Istanbul Turkey established long term cooperation in the areas of Faculty Exchange, Joint Research and Student Exchange. Dr. Shahid Amjad Chaudhry, Rector Lahore School and Prof. Dr. Suheyl BATUM, Rector Bahcesehir University had signed the Memorandum of Understanding on May 17, 2006 at Bahcesehir University. Another Memorandum of Understanding to continue this cooperation has been signed in April, 2009.
