Lahore School Conference on Recent Advances in Mathematical Methods, Models and Applications concluded on 12 April, 2015. In concluding remarks Dr. Shahid Amjad Chaudhry, the Rector Lahore School of Economics appreciated the work presented during two days of the Conference.
Earlier on 11 April 2015, Dr. Mujahid Abbas from Department of Mathematics, Syed Babar Ali School of Sciences & Engineering, Lahore University of Management Sciences spoke on “Characterization of Fuzzy Metric Completeness”. This talk ended with an engaging discussion between researchers working in the field of Metric spaces. Second speaker of the day was Dr. Asghar Qadir who presented paper on “A Generalization of the Goldbach and Twin Prime Conjectures.” Last speaker of the first session was Dr. Asma Khalid from Center for Mathematics and Statistics, Lahore School of Economics. Dr. Asma spoke on Incompleteness in Interval Valued Fuzzy Preference Relations.
In the second session, Dr. Samina Ashraf from Department of Mathematics, COMSATS Institute of Information Technology, Lahore presented paper on “Solving Fuzzy Differential Equations via Average Extension Principle”. Mr. Qamar Din from University of Poonch, Rawalkot spoke on “Global Behavior of a Host-parasitoid Model under the Constant Refuge Effect.”
In the last session of the day Muhammad Arshad Zia from International Islamic University, Islamabad presented “Some Fixed Point Results Topological Vector Space.” The second speaker of this session Professor Dr. Shoukat Rahim Chaudhry from University of Management and Technology, Lahore presented paper on “Generalized Bi-Quasi-Variational Inequalities for Quasi-Pseudo-Monotone Type II Operators in Non-Compact Settings.” Ayesha Afzal presented her work on an application of Preference Modeling in Business and Economics. This was followed by another talk by Aftab Hussain from Lahore Leads University, Lahore in the field of “Fixed point theory.” Mr Jamshed Ahmed from COMSATS ended the day by presenting a paper on "Banach Type Fixed Point Theorem."
On 12 April 2015, the RAMMMA conference started with Dr. Tabasam Rashid from University of Management and Technology with presentation on ‘An Improved Clustering Algorithm Based on Fuzzy Relation’. This talk was followed by a discussion session among researchers working in the area of decision making. Second speaker of the session was Dr. Saleem Asghar from COMSATS Institute of Technology, Islamabad. The title of his talk was, ‘Peristalsis on Curved Tubes’. The third speaker of the Conference was Muhammad Irfan Ali from Islamabad Model College for Boys, Islamabad who presented his work in soft set theory and related it to graph theory which resulted in a healthy question answer session. The last speaker of this session was Dr. MianHanif, a senior statistician from Lahore University of Management Sciences, Lahore. His talk was titled, "Has Survey Sampling Gone under Scientific Revolution."
Mr. Saeed Ahmed from University of Sargodah, Lahore Campus presented paper titled "The Vector Valued Sumudu Transform." This was followed by the talk of Dr. Attique-ur-Rehman, a PhD scholar of COMSATS, Lahore, who spoke on application of incomplete preference relations in supply chain management. The last speaker of this final session was Muhammad Rafiq from University of Central Punjab, Lahore whose talk titled "Numerical Modeling of Transmission Dynamics of Bird-Flu."
