Vivo Pakistan team visited the Lahore School of Economics on 31 May 31 2017 to conduct their recruitment drive for our Bachelors and MBA students. Mr Marvin Zhan, Chief Sales Officer gave a brief introduction about the company’s inception and its launch in Pakistan. He also told the students that with 136 million annual cellular mobile phone users, Pakistan presents an ideal landscape for all mobile companies. The team then conducted interviews of the students attending the recruitment drive. Madeeha Riaz, Director HR talked about the hiring process for their Management Trainee Program. The presentation was followed by a question and answer session.
Vivo is a global technology company that designs, develops, and manufactures smartphones, smartphone accessories, software, and online services. It is Launching in Pakistan in June, 2017.

Pak-Qatar Family Takaful Limited visited the Lahore School of Economics to conduct their recruitment drive on 1 June 2017 for our Bachelors students for sales positions at their organization. Mr Saad Ahmad, Group head Sales talked about career opportunities and growth prospects in Pak Qatar Limited. He explained the hiring process and training they offer to the students who become part of Pak Qatar. He emphasized on how lucrative sales jobs have become these days by quoting his own example. The presentation was followed by interviews of the students attending the session.

Berger Paints Pakistan Limited visited the Lahore School of Economics for their recruitment drive on 30 May 2017. Sadia Aurangzeb, HR Business Partner for Berger Paints briefed the students about their Management Trainee Executive Program (MTE). It was followed by a written test. She also explained the hiring process in detail.

Packages Limited visited the Lahore School of Economics on 30 May 2017 to carry out their recruitment drive for their Area Sales Manager positions. A large number of for the graduating Bachelor and MBA students attended the Packages recruitment session. Mr Subhan Zahid, Assistant Manager BUCP Conversion, started off with talking about Packages newest addition which is the Packages Mall. He told the students that almost every company in Pakistan outsources Packages Ltd for their packaging requirement.

Huawei Technologies Pakistan (Pvt.) Ltd visited the Lahore School of Economics to conduct a recruitment drive for their Trainee Program on May 29th, 2017. A significant number of graduating students (BBA, MBA and MSc) attended the session and later appeared for the test. The qualified students were then interviewed by the Huawei Team on the campus. Mr Rehan Tariq, Manager Human Resource talked about Huawei presence and market in Pakistan. They briefed the students about their career path and opportunities as they become part of Huawei team. The program offers a six months paid internship leading to a job. He emphasized on cross-cultural working environment experience and lots of learning opportunities for the students.

The Lahore School Placement Office is organizing a series of test preparation session for the MBA II and Bachelors final year students. The purpose of these organisation entry session is to improve the mathematical and analytical skills of the students for the upcoming organizations entry tests.
The sessions’ focused is on areas like Numerical Reasoning Tests, Diagrammatic Reasoning Tests, Time Management and Test Giving Techniques.

The Bank Alfalah top management came to the Lahore School of Economics on June 11, 2015 to conduct a session for the MBA and Undergraduate students majoring in Finance. The top officials who were a part of the Bank Alfalah team consisted of Mr. Yasir Rashid (Group Head of Audit and Inspection Group), Mr. Tahir Khurshid (Head of Audit Retail Group), Mr. Sumair Zafar (Officiating Head of Management Audit and Risk Assets Review) and Mr. Syed Abid Salar (Audit Manager).
Mr. Yasir Rashid, the Group Head of Audit and Inspection Group, began the session with a brief introduction of his Organization. He spoke about the functions and performance of the audit department at Bank Alfalah. He explained how audit has evolved over the years. Mr. Yasir also briefed the students regarding the use of state of the art software for audit by the Bank. Mr. Tahir Khurshid, Head of Audit Retail Group, explained about the role of Islamic banking and asset based financing to students.

Lahore School of Economics Annual Job Fair was held on March 12, 2015 at the Garden Café in the Main Campus. Fifty three local and multinational organizations participated in the Fair.
It was a great opportunity for the Undergraduate and Master’s students to network with the organizations representatives. The representatives guided the students on career opportunities in their organizations and explained their hiring processes, collected resumes, and conducted on the spot interviews. Some of the recruiters were graduate of the Lahore School.

Ayesha Saleem, the Talent Acquisition Specialist, Standard Bank came on Lahore School on November 23, 2012 and conducted the test for the Standard Chartered Bank International Graduate program, Consumer Bank Fast Track program and Local Graduate program 2013. She explained the hiring process to the students and discussed the role of banking in the growing economy. The on-line test was held in the Main Library and it was attended by more than hundred students from both bachelors and masters programs of Lahore School.

Ahmad Waqar (Lahore School Alumni of 2010) visited his Alma Mater and gave a talk to MBA graduating Class of 2013. He threw light on the Investment Banking in Pakistan and also discussed the job prospects in the Banking Sector. He briefed students about the expectations of the employer from the fresh graduates, and gave some useful tips on interviews and resume writing.

The KO Management trainee session was held on November 13, 2012 at Lahore School in the SBS library. The session started off with an innovative and attention grabbing video on the origin of Coke. HR team of Coca Cola explained to the MBA students the entire recruitment process. The Alumni working at CCPBL were then invited to give a small briefing to the students. The presentation was followed by the KO trainee assessment test.
