Lahore School of Economics Convocation 2013

Lahore School of Economics’ Tenth Annual Convocation was held at the main campus on Jan 26, 2013. Dr. Shahid Amjad Chaudhry, the Chairman and Rector Lahore School conferred degrees and awards to graduating students of PhD (1), MPhil (9), MS Economics (2), MSc Economics (4), Masters in Business Administration, BSc Economics, Bachelors of Business Administration and Master of Business Administration (Executive). In his welcome address, Dr. Shahid Amjad Chaudhry highlighted the role of Lahore School of Economics in research and in major specializations of Economics, Finance, Business Administration and related fields of studies including Social Sciences, Mathematics and Statistics, Environment, Media Studies and Art and Design. He pointed out that Lahore School graduates are well received in all leading sectors of Pakistan Economy and are receiving the highest starter level salaries in the country.

Dear Students
It is indeed a privilege and a pleasure for me to address this august gathering.

Lahore School Students at Bahcesehir University, Turkey
January 22, 2013
Group of Lahore School students was at Bahcesehir University, Istanbul, Turkey for a semester under the Students Exchange Program between both the institutions. Mahina Ghalib, Humna Butt, Sara Ahmed, Saad Chaudhry, Bilal Maqbool, Fahad Manzoor and Zartasha Khan from the Lahore School attended the Winter Term 2012 at Bahcesehir University on Bahcesehir University’s Scholarship. Lahore School students study tour to Sri Lanka
January 14, 2013
Twenty students from the Lahore School of Economics took the study tour organized by the University of Colombo, Sri Lanka from Dec 17-23, 2013. During events packed seven day, among other activities, student also visited University of Colombo and University of Peradeniya, Kandy, Sri Lanka and attended some formal lectures specially arranged for the Lahore School students. At each University, departments of Economics had arranged lectures for the Lahore School’s students along with the local students covering the Sri Lankan development experience, the basis of trade theories and development policies. Students were also taken for sightseeing during their stay in Colombo and Kandy - Saman Khan.

Hot arguments, cool weather and peacocks

While heated debates and meaningful arguments were going on inside auditoriums, the participants (around 700 young scholars from all over Pakistan) took time to enjoyed environs at Main Campus, cold weather and peacocks. Here are some of the images from the mage event.
