On 11 September 2025, Dr. Azam Amjad Chaudhry, Pro-Rector, Lahore School of Economics, met with the talented students selected for the Fall 2025 exchange program at Bahçeşehir University in Istanbul, Turkey, for a group photograph, marking this milestone. These students will join a diverse cohort of scholars from across Europe, embarking on a journey of cross-cultural exchange, academic collaboration, and intellectual growth. Study Tour to Macquarie University

Lahore School of Economics arranged a four weeks study tour to Macquarie University, Australia in the month of August. Eight students (Beenish Amir, Hamzah Imran, Hira Waheed, Kiran Aftab, MehreenIzhar, Muhammad Ali Imran, Rida Nadeem and Shahrukh Khurram) enrolled in the third year of their bachelors program along with Ms Ayesha Khaled (Assistant Manager External Relations) visited Macquarie University from the August 1 to August 29, 2015.


During these four weeks, the students attended various lectures in the Business and Economics departments and interacted with professionals of the field. They also got a chance to visit the Royal Bank of Australia and HLB Mann Judd Business and Financial Advisers.

Lahore School Collaboration with Macquarie University, Sydney, Australia

The Lahore School of Economics has recently established a long term cooperative relationship with Macquarie University, Australia. The Lahore School of Economics has been given the highest rating by the HEC’s business school accreditation council and Macquarie University has been ranked as a 5 start university by the QS rating system.



Macquarie University comprises of 33 departments with five faculties and the university offers 87 undergraduate courses and 124 different postgraduate courses to students.

The areas covered in the joint agreement are Student Exchange Faculty Exchange, Joint Research, Joint conferences/meetings and Exchange of Academic Materials/information.

Lahore School Students at Bahcesehir University, Turkey


Eight undergrad students from Lahore School were at Bahcesehir University, Istanbul, Turkey for a semester (September 2013 to January 2014) under the Students Exchange Program between both the institutions. Myrah Khan, Fizza Fareed, Haroon Rasheed, Beebrak Khan, Wardah Zukhra, Izza Majeed, Hiba Khan, Kanza Sanai from the Lahore School attended Winter Term 2013 at Bahcesehir University on Bahcesehir University’s Scholarship. Study Tour to Sri Lanka

Dr. Shahid Amjad Chaudhry, the Rector, Lahore School of Economics distributed the certificates among Lahore School students for participation in the “Study Tour to Sri Lanka” on March 11, 2013.


Twenty undergrad students from the Lahore School of Economics participated in a week study tour to Sri Lanka that was organized from Dec 17-23, 2012 by the University of Colombo, Sri Lanka. Students visited University of Colombo and University of Peradeniya, Kandy, Sri Lanka and attended some formal lectures specially arranged for the Lahore School’s students.

Lahore School students study tour to Sri Lanka


Twenty students from the Lahore School of Economics took the study tour organized by the University of Colombo, Sri Lanka from Dec 17-23, 2013. During events packed seven day, among other activities, student also visited University of Colombo and University of Peradeniya, Kandy, Sri Lanka and attended some formal lectures specially arranged for the Lahore School students. At each University, departments of Economics had arranged lectures for the Lahore School’s students along with the local students covering the Sri Lankan development experience, the basis of trade theories and development policies. Students were also taken for sightseeing during their stay in Colombo and Kandy - Saman Khan.

Discovering Turkey


The Lahore School of Economics organized meet up session for students who have been selected for the Bahcesehir University under Exchange Program 2012 and those who have already been there under the same program. Saad Chaudhry, Fahad Manzoor, Humna Butt, Zartasha Khan, Bilal Maqbool, Mahina Ghalib and Sara Ahmed have been selected from the latest batch of students. Meet up and discussion Durring the meet up, senior students shared their Turkish experiences with the new batch and also gave them tips and tricks to survive in a new environment and excel there. Renewal of MOU with Bahçeşehir University


Lahore School of Economics has long term association with the Bahcesehir University, Turkey. The Lahore School has been sending students to Bahcesehir University under the Exchange Program every year since 2006. On May 18, 2012, a delegation from the Bahcesehir University consisting of Gurhan Kara, the Director, International Student Office and Elena Shirin, Erasmus Incoming Coordinator, visited the Lahore School to renew the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the two educational institutes. A meeting was also held with Dr. Shahid Amjad Chaudhry, the Rector Lahore School of Economis, followed by the signing of the MOU.


Later in the day, students selected by the Lahore School for the Exchange Program were also interviewed by Mr. Kara and Ms. Shirin - [Vicky Zhuang Yi-Yin]
