B2B Marketing
December 01, 2015
Mr. Asad Rizvi, Managing Director at Walter, was invited to the Lahore School of Economics on November 11, 2015 to deliver a lecture to the graduating BBA class on “B2B Marketing.”
The speaker defined B2C marketing as product driven where without the existence of a product the business would have no mode through which it would develop communications with the market. The product must have large market. B2C involves a single step buying process, emotional buying process and the brand identity is built on repetition and imagery. B2B is relationship driven where one individual or individual firm is being addressed to rather a mass. B2B marketing involves a much smaller audience in comparison to B2C.
B2B is a multi-step buying process which would eventually lead to a decision being made either in favor or against your product or proposal. The brand identity is built on relationship and involves a rational buying process as opposed to an emotional buying process.
The session ended with an interactive question and answer session in which all students participated.
