Independent Business Leaders Association Lunch

The Lahore School of Economics (Alumni Office) hosted the Independent Business Leaders Association Lunch on 24 January 2026, at a local restaurant, Gulberg. The event brought together 43 distinguished alumni, all independent business leaders and experts in their fields.


Dr. Shahid Amjad Chaudhry welcomed the guests and expressed his appreciation for the alumni’s continued commitment to the Lahore School. He highlighted the strong academic foundation, state-of-the-art facilities, and supportive environment the Lahore School provides its students, which equip them to excel in their professional journeys. He also emphasized the significance of this particular alumni association in fostering connections, collaboration, and engagement among independent business leaders. Dr. Azam spoke about the resources available to alumni, including the State of the Economy reports and expressed his delight at the achievements of Lahore School alumni.


Earlier, alumni President, Ms. Shamyla Chaudry, opened the lunch with her remarks, highlighting the diversity of the alumni community and warmly welcoming all attendees.


Speakers Rizma Butt (Founder, Iznik & 1 Million Teachers), Haris Habib (Founder, Daily Deli Co.), and Nouman Zakir (Founder, Rici Melion / Npire Pvt. Ltd.) shared valuable insights on business leadership, teamwork, adapting to change, and decision-making under pressure, inspiring engaging discussions among attendees


The lunch was also attended by Dr. Shela Arifeen and Professor Fareed A. Fareedy, who congratulated the guests on their achievements. Naila Hafeez (Director, Corporate Relations) shared how alumni return to contribute their expertise through the Distinguished Alumni Lecture Series. Zernab Zulfiqar (Placements Office) shared how alumni are actively hiring Lahore School students, and Ayesha Jamal (HR) emphasized alumni engagement in recruitment.


The Lahore School extends its sincere thanks to all Independent Business Leaders for their participation and looks forward to hosting future events that continue to strengthen and celebrate the Lahore School alumni community.
